EIUG / IIUG Conference, 25th - 26th June 2009 Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown
The first Joint European Innovative Users Group (EIUG) and Irish Innovative Users Group (IIUG) Conference will be hosted in the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, Dublin on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th June 2009.

Conference Speakers
- James Mitchell, Library Architect is the keynote speaker at the Conference.
- William Nixon (University of Glasgow), Niamh Brennan (Trinity College Dublin) and Rice Majors III Product Manager for cataloguing, acquisitions & serials and who is currently responsible for Content Pro & Encore harvesting have also been confirmed as speakers at the conference.
- In addition papers will be presented by members of the respective associations.
- Topics covered at the conference will include library architecture and the theme of space, institutional repositories, digital collections and III product developments.
Daily Transportation
Liam's Bus Hire, Blanchardstown will be providing transportation from the three designated hotels to the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown each morning and back again each evening for the duration of the Conference.
The bus timetable is as follows:
- The bus will depart the Travel Lodge at 8.10am each morning
- The bus will then proceed to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Blanchardstown and depart at 8.30am
- It will then travel to the Park Plaza Hotel Tyrrelstown from which the bus will depart at 8.45am to the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown.
As there are multiple pick up points and to ensure arrival on time, we would advise delegates availing of transportation that the bus will depart from the front of the hotels at the designated times.
Pre-Conference Get Together
There will be an informal get together at the bar in the Park Plaza Hotel on the Wednsesday night before the conference. This will commence at 7.30pm.
